OASIS Maturity Model:

The success of Oasis is not measured by the number of people who sit in our seats, but by the number of men and women who move forward from being interested in Jesus to maturity in Christ. We encourage people to fully engage with God, God's word, God's people and our neighbors....so that we may become fully developed disciples of Jesus Christ. Like the Apostle Paul, "We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect (mature) in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me." (Colossians 1:28,29)

Moving to Maturity Model © Copyright J. Kent Edwards, 2012 - Methodology to transform people who are<em> Interested in Jesus <em>into<em> People who are Mature in Christ<em>. This involves 4 levels of development: Preaching & Worship; LifeGroups; Triads; and Mentoring. Service to the Community is a component at all stages of development.

Our Discipleship Model involves four levels:

  1. Preaching & Worship: Inspired content necessary for maturity in Christ; Incarnational and corporate encouragement to grow in our faith: Corporate response to truth.
  2. LifeGroups: Small groups designed to encourage transformational learning of biblical concepts introduced in weekly sermons through personal application. Mixed gender groups who 'do life' together.
  3. Triad Groups: Highly personal accountability groups with customized theological content. Same gender groups of 3 or 4 people committed to spiritual growth.
  4. Mentoring: Life on life within the context of ministry.
At each stage of our spiritual journey we will be involved in service to the community and the world outside of the church.
